Dr. Christopher Tiller, DVM

Founder & Emergency Veterinarian

Chris Tiller has never taken the conventional route. Before veterinary school, he umpired 64 Major League Baseball games across three seasons and built a 60-truck transportation company serving the oil and gas industry.

He enrolled at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at 38, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Robert Tiller (TAMU CVM Class of 1976), who practiced mixed animal medicine in East Texas for over four decades.

After graduating in 2023, Chris went straight into emergency medicine — and immediately experienced the documentation burden firsthand. An ER veterinarian can spend 40–60% of their shift on charting, not patients.

Drawing on decades of coding experience and a career built on split-second decisions under pressure, Chris built VetGeni to solve the problem he lived every shift: give veterinarians their time back without compromising the medical record.

What Veterinarians Say

“I spend about a minute recording my entire medical information and my chart is done 95%. By the time the owner is paid and walking out the door, they have a discharge in their hand.”

Dr. Travis Twining, DVM

Medical Director, Animal Emergency Center of Temple-Belton

“The toxicology assets I use on a regular basis. The differential and treatment recommendations I find very helpful.”

Dr. Jeremy Echols, DVM

Veterinarian, Vaquero Animal Hospital

“It really does help with hard cases — when you have a busy practice it can be hard to come up with all 20 differentials. VetGeni has them right there.”

Dr. Brennan Tobias, DVM

Associate Veterinarian, Southlake Veterinary
