IDEXX Cornerstone

The AI scribe with a real Cornerstone integration

VetGeni connects to IDEXX Cornerstone through a signed Windows workstation agent: patients appear in VetGeni as they check in, and your reviewed SOAP notes write back into the Cornerstone record — no copy-paste, no cloud middleman touching your clinic network.

How VetGeni works with Cornerstone

  1. Patients sync as they check in

The connector watches Cornerstone check-ins on the workstation and feeds them to your VetGeni board, so the visit is ready to record before you enter the exam room.

  2. Record the appointment

Ambient recording on any device — VetGeni drafts the SOAP note, discharge instructions, and treatment plan, checked against Wiley-licensed references.

  3. Review, then write back

You approve the note in VetGeni and it writes directly into the Cornerstone medical record. Only reviewed notes move; nothing happens without your action.

  4. Localhost-only by design

The agent talks to VetGeni through 127.0.0.1 on the workstation. It opens no inbound clinic-network port, and the installer is signed by VetGeni, LLC.

Why Cornerstone clinics pick VetGeni

Wiley-licensed clinical intelligence

Drug doses, differentials, and toxicology guidance are checked against Wiley-licensed veterinary references — not recalled from a language model’s memory. No other scribe can claim publisher-licensed content.

$50/month per DVM, everything included

Unlimited notes, discharge instructions, treatment plans, the drug database, and the PIMS connectors — one flat price, no tiers, 14-day free trial with no credit card.

Client-ready output, not just a note

Every visit can produce discharge instructions in plain language (with multi-language translation) and share to the Pet Parent Portal — the handoff is part of the workflow, not an add-on.

And if part of your team works outside Cornerstone, nothing breaks: VetGeni is a full standalone web and mobile product — the connector is a convenience, not a dependency. See how it stacks up against other scribes on the comparison hub.

Cornerstone + VetGeni FAQ

Does VetGeni integrate with IDEXX Cornerstone?
Yes — directly and today. A signed Windows workstation agent syncs checked-in patients into VetGeni and writes reviewed SOAP notes back into the Cornerstone record. Per-user and IT-managed (MSI) installers are both available on the setup page.
Does the Cornerstone connector need admin rights or open ports?
The recommended per-user installer needs no admin password, and the connector communicates only over localhost (127.0.0.1) on the workstation — it opens no inbound port on your clinic network.
How much does VetGeni cost?
VetGeni is $50/month per veterinarian — every feature included, unlimited notes, no per-connector fees. The PIMS connectors are free with your subscription, and there is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Does the AI write directly into my PIMS without review?
No — by design. VetGeni drafts the note; you review and edit it; only the reviewed note moves into your practice management system. You remain the doctor, and nothing is inserted without a user action.
What if some of our doctors don’t use Cornerstone?
VetGeni works fully standalone on web and mobile — recording, SOAP notes, discharge documents, and the clinical reference tools all work without any PIMS. The integration is a convenience, not a requirement.

VetGeni is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IDEXX or other practice management system providers; product names are used only to describe compatibility.
