IDEXX Cornerstone
Install the VetGeni Cornerstone connector on each Windows computer where Cornerstone is used, then confirm your clinic setup once.
Finish setting up Cornerstone
Install the connector on every computer that runs Cornerstone, once for each Windows user who charts. Then confirm these three things once for the whole clinic; other workstations pick them up automatically.
Choose your live Cornerstone staff record. VetGeni uses its staff ID to split the check-ins board into your patients vs everyone else's.
Every clinic runs Cornerstone differently - front-desk census, the scheduler, the whiteboard, or a mix. This analyzes the last 30 days (read-only) and recommends what the check-ins board should read.
Required: set the primary, the note your clinic charts on. VetGeni writes into it when it already exists for the visit. Optional: a backup template VetGeni may use to create a note when none exists (only if record creation is on in clinic settings below).
VetGeni tries the preferred document first, then an allowed existing alternative. If an existing document cannot be opened safely, VetGeni stops instead of creating a duplicate.

Some hospitals require the newly created Medical Note window to be closed with its X so Cornerstone commits it. This applies only to notes VetGeni creates from the backup template; an existing doctor document is never auto-closed.
The list shows templates used in the last 90 days. A template made just for VetGeni to create may never have been used; search every template by name or number.
Download on each Cornerstone computer
Download the setup on a computer that runs Cornerstone. It installs for the signed-in Windows user and needs no admin password, so repeat it on every computer, and for every Windows user, who charts in Cornerstone. Cornerstone must be installed in C:\CStone.
Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded file. If Chrome asks about the download, choose Keep. If Windows SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. The installer is signed by VetGeni, LLC. If your antivirus blocks it, your IT may need to allow VetGeni.
Open VetGeni
Refresh VetGeni after install. If Chrome asks whether VetGeni may use apps on this device, click Allow - that is how the page reaches the connector on this computer (127.0.0.1).
Confirm your clinic setup once
On the dashboard, pick your Cornerstone staff record from the list. Then, on this page, confirm where check-ins come from and which note VetGeni writes into. Every other workstation picks these up automatically.
Check patients in as usual
Patients checked into Cornerstone appear on the VetGeni Case Dashboard check-in board automatically. Claim yours to open the case — no manual patient entry.
Work the case in VetGeni
Record the visit and generate the SOAP or discharge as usual, then review it.
Send the finished note to Cornerstone
Click Send to Cornerstone on the reviewed document. The connector writes it into the Cornerstone medical record using your clinic’s confirmed template.
Verify in Cornerstone
Open the medical note in Cornerstone to confirm the entry before finalizing the record.
