Accessibility

The Accessibility Statement and Guide page carries the keyboard shortcuts, the screen-reader notes and a downloadable PDF. The Help Center keeps the same shortcut list in-page under Keyboard shortcuts.

Steps

  1. Open the VetGeni menu at the top right of the dashboard, choose Legal, then Accessibility Guide under Learning and Tools.
  2. Read the Keyboard shortcuts list on that page. Alt plus S skips to main content, Alt plus N opens main navigation, Alt plus H opens help resources, Alt plus K shows keyboard shortcuts, Alt plus P switches to the case workflow, Alt plus V switches to Olivia, Alt plus T toggles the tools menu, and Escape closes a modal or dialog.
  3. Press Download Accessibility Guide for the PDF version of the same statement.
  4. To raise a barrier, press Contact Accessibility Support and include the page, the device, the browser and the task you were trying to complete.

Good to know

  • The shortcut list lives inside the help and accessibility pages, not in the public site footer.
  • The page states what VetGeni aims to support on public pages: keyboard navigation, visible focus states, descriptive labels for interactive elements, and screen-reader-friendly structure.
  • The PDF is version 2025-06-19 and carries implementation notes and platform-specific details that are not printed on the page.
  • Alt plus V is listed as "Switch to Olivia"; the tab it opens at the top of the Case Dashboard is labelled VetChat.
  • Accessibility reports go through Contact Support marked as accessibility-related so the team routes them correctly.

Getting Started

VetGeni is an AI veterinary scribe and assistant — it turns what you record into SOAP notes, discharge instructions and treatment plans. If you are new, work through the Core Training Series on the Tutorials page, then run one real case end to end.

Steps

  1. Open the VetGeni menu at the top right of the dashboard, choose Tutorials, and watch the seven videos in the Core Training Series in order.
  2. Back on the Case Dashboard, create a case for a real patient. Name, species and the presenting complaint are the fields the form needs before it can save.
  3. Record the visit. The veterinarian's fast path is three recordings — Physical Exam, then Client Communication, then SOAP — and vitals can simply be spoken inline during the physical exam recording.
  4. Generate the discharge instructions from the finished SOAP.
  5. Set the practice details once on Formatting and Clinic Details, so the clinic name, phone, logo, header, footer and your own name and credentials appear on every document.

Good to know

  • A new case cannot be saved without a primary concern; name, species and the presenting complaint are required.
  • Everything VetGeni writes is a draft. Review the source inputs and the case details, then edit the output before it goes into the record.
  • Discharge instructions are built from the SOAP. Asking for one before the SOAP exists returns "Please complete a SOAP note before regenerating discharge."
  • Clinical answers are generated from a diverse library of Wiley-licensed veterinary references. That is reference support for your review, not a substitute for your own clinical judgement.
  • The seven Core Training Series videos are meant to be watched in order; everything else sits under Additional Tutorials on the same page.

Video tutorials

There are fourteen video walkthroughs on the Tutorials page — seven in the Core Training Series to watch in order, then seven more under Additional Tutorials. It is in the VetGeni menu at the top right of the dashboard.

Steps

  1. Open the VetGeni menu at the top right of the dashboard and choose Tutorials.
  2. Work through the Core Training Series in order: Creating a Case, Taking a History, Physical Exam, Creating a SOAP, Generate Discharge Instructions, "PawText: Texting owners updates from your Dashboard", and Personalizing your Documents.
  3. Then take what you need from Additional Tutorials: Beginners Tutorial, VetGeni iPhone and Android App Tutorial, "From Notes to SOAPs: Record and Let VetGeni Do the Rest!", Exciting Updates to VetGeni, Patient Management, "VetGeni's Summarizer Feature", and "The Pet Parent Portal!".
  4. For the Cornerstone workflow, use the IDEXX Cornerstone integration card at the top of the page and press Open guide — that one is an interactive walkthrough rather than a video.

Good to know

  • The videos are embedded from YouTube through youtube-nocookie.com, so a clinic network has to allow that host for the players to load.
  • Every card shows its publish date, and they range from October 2024 to January 2026, so the oldest clips were recorded against earlier screens.
  • The IDEXX Cornerstone integration card is an interactive guide, not a video. It opens by itself once, the first time a workstation is connected; this page is the permanent way back to it.
  • The public marketing site has a separate Tutorials page with the Quick-Start Series. The in-app page at /app-tutorials is the one behind sign-in, and it is the one the VetGeni menu opens.
